Monitors and is accountable for adherence to all regulatory requirements for the hospital.
Coordinates, evaluates, updates and disseminates all data and educational information as it relates to The Joint Commission, HCFA, and NJDHSS.
Coordinates the gathering and reporting of data related to the Collaborative and the Core Measures.
Facilitates Q.I.; Evaluates and updates the efficacy of the Performance Improvement program and coordinates departmental PI participation
Coordinates the Medical Staff quality programs and committees.
Coordinates the implementation and direction of the CMS of NJ 9th Scope of Service clinical project studies that will result in improvements of clinical practices and patient outcomes.
Supervises data collection activities related to Quality Indicator Projects
Works with hospital leadership in creating action plans for improving Patient Safety and Performance Improvement Initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality a plus.
Minimum of 8 years in a clinical setting.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Performance Improvement/Quality Management and Risk Management.
Working knowledge of regulatory agency standards and requirements.
Provided leadership for at least two successful Joint Commission surveys in the past 5 years.
Familiarity with the Tracer methodology process for surveying.
Knowledgeable in development of databases, visual and written presentations
Knowledgeable of Microsoft suite of programs necessary to perform tasks.(Excel, Word, Access etc.)
