Benedictine Health System (BHS), a non-profit health care system that manages more than 30 senior care communities throughout the Midwest, is seeking a full-time Director, Revenue Cycle Management in Shoreview.
This position is responsible for developing strategic plans and ongoing performance improvement initiatives for the system-wide revenue cycle process. Responsibilities also include executing a vision to optimize processes, delivering quality services and reports, managing cash collections, deploying associated technology, and ensuring support for BHS locations, while complying with related regulations.
Direct the process of identifying, developing, and communicating systems, policies and procedures related to A/R and billing.
Oversee training of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) associates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, BHS expectations are met, and State and Federal regulations are adhered to.
Review monthly A/R reports with department to identify opportunities for improvement and offer possible solutions.
Organize and plan monthly meetings on topics related to A/R, billing and collections.
Select, train and monitor performance of direct reports; provide direction, foster teamwork, address concerns and resolve problems to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
Monitor changes in Federal and State (MN, WI, ND, IL, and MO) regulations regarding collections and provide information and training to necessary individuals.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Six (6) years of experience in long term care accounts receivable.
Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Extensive knowledge of State, Federal and third party payer reimbursement systems, rules and regulations relating to A/R.
Knowledge of current computer software (Resident Trust, Matrix Care preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Experience with small claims court, collecting on accounts once a judgment is obtained, performing asset reaches and negotiating with debtors.
Knowledge of rules and regulations affecting all BHS locations.
