The Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, is currently seeking Intensivist interested in attending in our Cardiac Intensive Care and Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Units. We are seeking expert physicians interested in teamwork and dedicated to excellence in patient care, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction who have a passion aligned with our academic mission.
Candidates will have clinical responsibilities that include supervising clinical, research, and educational activities in the 24-bed Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and new 14-bed Cardiac Care Unit that foster continued innovation and excellence in critical care including point of care ultrasound and advanced proficiency in monitoring. Experience with ACLS, cardioversion, central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, tracheal intubation, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, paracentesis and lumbar puncture is required. Outstanding communication skills, a high emotional intelligence, adaptability and the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment are essential.
Candidates should Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Physicians who may wish to split time with a primary specialty (e.g., Anesthesiology, Pulmonary Medicine, and Emergency Medicine) are welcome to apply.
