NYU Winthrop Hospital Pediatric Center, located in Hempstead, NY, provides primary and multi-specialty care to the pediatric population from birth to age 21. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pediatrician.
Specific services provided are as follows:
Well care visits
Medical clearance for invasive and noninvasive procedures
(requiring sedation procedures and surgeries)
Behavioral health evaluation and counseling
Sick visits, acute and chronic sick visit care
Social work services
School and sport physicals
Care management services
Seriously ill children are evaluated, stabilized and transported to NYU Winthrop Hospital emergency department via ambulance. NYU Winthrop Hospital Pediatric Center also offers in-house specialty services with endocrinology, genetics, psychiatry, pulmonary, and social work.
NYU Winthrop Hospital Pediatric Center is an article 28, NCQA level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) with state of art Electronic Medical Record.
In this role, you will:
Provide a full scope of medical services largely geared to underserved populations
Receive strong clinical support services
Work in an innovative practice environment
Be part of a multi-disciplinary practice offering a blend of individual & population-based care
Guide the patient care teams in achieving a team-based model of care and effective care coordination and care transitions, as prescribed by PCMH standards
Participate in QA/QI initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a NYS licensed MD. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
NYU Winthrop Hospital Pediatric Center is a pediatric practice located at 175 Fulton Avenue, Suite 100, Hempstead, NY 11550. It operates from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7 am to 7 pm, Friday from 7 am until 5 pm and Saturdays from 7 am to 1 pm.
