The Business Office Manager is to support the Patient Access operations and assist them in their efforts to provide efficient processes that create accurate patient accounts to be utilized in the revenue cycle flow. Manager ensures the efficient operation and effective reimbursement of traditional Medicare and other government account receivables by researching accounts, refilling or appealing claims, submitting additional medical documentation, and tracking account status by monitoring and analyzing assigned unresolved standard Medicare and other government accounts. The Business Office Manager is actively involved in the strategic planning and development of Patient Access operations at FLBHC. Provides operational analysis to identify and resolve issues that are effecting hospital operations and assist with the implement of techniques, processes and procedures to improve workflows through efficiencies, best practices and improvement in the organizations. Act as a liaison to foster open communications between the facilities and UHS Corporate departments. Interact with the various departments that are impacted by the operations of Patient Access. Provide training and education as required on UHS Patient Access computer systems, policies and procedures. Develop, implement and monitor compliance with UHS policies and procedures. Manage Medicare operations, and business strategy utilizing cross-functional business units to meet strategic objectives. Oversee various operational departments to assure Medicare product performance is consistent with the corporation's business and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulatory requirements.
