Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist – Goryeb Children’s Hospital-Atlantic Health System, New Jersey Atlantic Health System, headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey is a leading non – profit health-care delivery system in New Jersey Goryeb Children’s Hospital, at Morristown Medical Center and part of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full time BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist to become the fourth physician of our team. As the original Valerie Fund Children’s Center in NJ, we strive to provide high quality care close to home for all pediatric patients in the Northern New Jersey area. As a full member of Children’s Oncology Group, we see approximately 40 new oncology patients and 600 new outpatient hematology consults each year. We work closely with pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, pediatric neurosurgery, orthopedic oncology, and radiation oncology to care for our patients. Our multi-disciplinary team includes 3 advanced nurse practitioners, 1 nurse manager with 5 APHON certified nurses, 2 social workers, 1 psychologist, 1 educational liaison, 1 child life specialist, 1 dietician, and 2 CRAs. Our patients are further supported with acupuncture, pet therapy, and daily integrative medicine opportunities for all patients. We strive to meet our patients’ physical and psychosocial needs throughout treatment and continue to follow our patients in our active long term follow up program after completion of planned therapies. Goryeb Children’s Hospital, in Morristown, NJ with a second location in Summit, NJ is conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from New York City and 2 hours from Philadelphia. The area offers ample opportunities for both cultural and outdoor activities. Our multispecialty pediatric group consists of over 100 physicians and serves patients in the Northern New Jersey area. The Goryeb Children’s Hospital is growing and currently has a 34-bed general pediatric beds, a 9-bed pediatric intensive care unit (a new 15 bed PICU will open in the fall) and a 34-bed neonatal intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical pediatric hematology oncology care provided in a patient and family centered manner. With an accredited pediatric residency program and as branch campus of The Sidney Kimmel Medical College, there will be many teaching opportunities with residents and medical students.
