Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist (Part Time)

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for assisting the Director of Pharmacy in the coordination and supervision of all Clinical Pharmacy activities in addition to the Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities relating to the provision of Pharmaceutical Care. He/she plans, organizes, analyzes and compiles the hospital's drug utilization program(s) as required and assists in the implementation of cost containment programs. He/she furnishes clinical information to physicians, pharmacy personnel, & other health professionals and patients. He/she serves to supervise the clinical activities of the distributive pharmacists. Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacist in good standing. Current New Jersey licensure required. Hospital Pharmacy experience required with good interpersonal relationship skills. Familiarity with all phases of Hospital Pharmacy. Working knowledge of health care matters. Understanding of role of the Pharmacy Department within the Hospital, it's interrelationship with other departments and functions. Successful completion of all orientations. (Going forward, all position vacancies will require completion of a PGY1 residency and some specialties will require a PGY2 specialty residency (pediatrics, oncology).
