TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. Position Summary: Performs Pre-Admission and Admission services to all patients in all areas of the hospital. Correctly identifies patient and maintains accurate patient information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collects Financial information including payment from the patient/guarantor. Obtains insurance information, benefits and obtains authorizations for services. Calculates insurance company co-payments, deductibles and collects financial responsibility due from patients at the time of admission or discharge. Obtain Medical and Financial Consents, secure proper signatures on required documents. Provides required information to patients concerning their Patient Rights, Privacy and Advance Care Directives.
