Summary of Job Function: To assist the nursing units, Delivery Room, OR, clinics and various other departments by distributing and maintaining patient care products required for diagnosis and treatment of patients. To demonstrate a clear understanding of Infection Control as it pertains to storing, dispensing, and re-stocking sterile products in accordance with JCAHO requirements. Operates computerized systems to maintain par levels, patient billing and inventory control. Participates in semi-annual physical inventory of all stock items. Maintains complete computerized/automated distribution system as it pertains to Omnicell storage' cells. Restocks Omnicells as directed by daily assignments. Perform pick function as required. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc., floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.
