JOB SUMMARY: The receptionist greets each patient and family member as they arrive at the Center. Arrives the patient, issues the registration face sheet, history form and patient bill of rights. Make corrections to patient data (procedure, insurance or referring physician). Alerts the staff that patient has arrived. Assumes responsibility for all activities pertaining to the reception area. Is responsible for answering phones, taking messages and directing phone inquiries to the proper person/place. Performs clerical duties without requiring constant supervision. Exercises good judgment in dealing with patients.
EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS: Computer skills and medical terminology required. Successful completion of the CPAR course. (Certified Patient Access Representative) Typing skills helpful but not required. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
