Cook Children’s Health Care System is looking for a Staff Attorney to join our in-house Legal team. As a Staff Attorney, you will provide senior staff level legal advice to corporate entities affiliated with the Cook Children’s Health Care System (“System”), which is an integrated pediatric health care delivery system that includes a licensed acute care hospital, a fund raising and endowment foundation, a management company, an integrated physician non-profit health care corporation, health maintenance organization, home health company, and captive insurance company, two (2) physician/hospital JV ASC, a company providing services to children with complex developmental and behavioral disabilities and aircraft holding company and for-profit ancillary services company. You will report to the Chief Legal Officer who is responsible for the overall Legal Services provided for the System including hospital and physician operations for the System. Your primary responsibilities as a Staff Attorney, as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer and/or his/her designee(s) (Associate General Counsel(s) and Assistant General Counsel(s)), are to provide independent legal advice directly to System entities assist the Chief Legal Officer with the management of all legal services rendered to and legal costs incurred in connection with hospital and physician operations You may be assigned to provide legal advice or manage legal services to the System entities on a variety of matters, including:

In addition, you may review certain corporate agreements and board and committee minutes as well as business practices and policies of System entities to monitor compliance with tax, regulatory, and System requirements and provide advice to Cook officers, managers, and line employees. You will also serve as legal advisors to various committees and project teams of Cook entities as assigned. Staff Attorney shall support and have direct impact upon key System strategies and initiatives. Qualifications:
