JOB TITLE: Supervisor Logistics Operations LOCATION: Geisinger Medical Center Hospital DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain Services WORK SCHEDULE: Evenings WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Supervises the operations of assigned personnel that receives, distributes, and performs various inventory management functions for pharmaceuticals, supplies, medical equipment, patient transport, linen, & mail for the Geisinger Health System.
Directly accountable for and maintains stock inventory under the general direction of the Regional Manager Supply Chain Logistics.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Services, or related field preferred.
Minimum five years supervisory experience, preferably in a hospital setting, required.
Minimum five years experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, mail processing, pharmaceutical distribution, and par level management required.
Minimum 1 year on the job to become familiar with all duties and responsibilities required.
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and a safe driving record required.
Valid DOT physical card may be required. (see job requisition)

Work is typically performed in an office, clinical, and warehouse environments.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC), located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
