JOB TITLE: Manager, Office of Sponsored Projects LOCATION: Geisinger Office Building I DEPARTMENT: Research Admin. WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager, Office is Sponsored Projects is responsible for establishing processes and providing support for pre and post award grant management, including but not limited to identifying federal and non-federal research funding opportunities, providing grant writing assistance and supporting the grant submission process to advance faculty scholarship and institutional initiatives (pre-award) and account maintenance, oversight, billing/invoicing, reporting, compliance and closeout (post-award). The Manager will be responsible for managing support staff and regularly interact with research leadership, department chairs, individual faculty, and service line administrators to help support the growth of Geisinger’s research portfolio and ensure adequate support for the proposal & submission process and post award management.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates working understanding of grants/contracts pre-award and post-award management including complexed, multi-component/multi-institutional submissions. Displays understanding of federal regulations and requirements related to sponsored project.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Experience: A minimum of five years of grant, financial, or related experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Minimal travel between sites may be required.
