EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Certification in improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), and other advanced training/education is required.
Masters degree in Nursing, or other clinical degree, Engineering, (industrial/ systems/management), Operations Research, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance/Accounting or related field required. Minimum of five years progressive and successful experience working in a direct patient care and/or improvement project / management environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, (industrial/systems/management), Nursing or other clinical degree, Operations Research, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Statistics, Finance/Accounting or related field required. Minimum of five years progressive and successful experience working in a direct patient care and/or improvement project / management environment.
Minimum of 5 years project management/leadership experience with proven ability to develop effective programs.
Staff supervisory experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinical or office environment. Travel throughout the Geisinger system is required.
