About the position
The physician and provider relationship manager will provide strategic leadership for the physician and provider relations function at Tidelands Health. Working in partnership with the vice president of marketing and communications, the physician and provider relationship manager will develop and execute a comprehensive outreach approach that includes physician and provider onboarding and business development, as well as development and execution of a business plan for regional referral outreach to maximize market share growth.
The physician and provider relationship manager:
Develops relationships through face-to-face visits with physicians, schedulers, practice managers and medical staff. The manager will work to ensure understanding of health system services and work to uncover and minimize obstacles.
Coordinates meetings between physicians to improve communications and build relationships.
Develops and executes strategic plans; tracks activities using provider relationship management software (Salesforce); and reports on activities and issues.
Leads the health system's robust new physician onboarding program.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication, business administration or health care administration required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience/Qualifications: Minimum seven years’ experience as a physician relations liaison. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Special Skills: The right person for this role will be familiar with health system operations, language and roles and will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships through effective communication. He or she must be able to analyze data and develop strategic, targeted action plans from that analysis. Multitasking ability and confidence working independently are essential.
