The Business Development Coordinator facilitates business planning and the project management of new business endeavors throughout the health system, helping drive strategic growth for the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Track key statistics for the organization on an ongoing basis, ensuring that they are appropriately utilized in various business planning materials and collateral across the organization.
Compile information for annual bond rating agency presentation.
Compile relevant information for annual system strategic planning exercises.
Maintain system overview materials on an ongoing basis.
Ensure that long-range facility planning, long-range recruitment planning, and long-range capital planning remain in alignment, developing a mechanism to easily identify and proactively address changes that result in misalignment.
Participate in annual goal-setting process for subsidiaries and system support functions. Develop a mechanism to track progress towards achieving the goals on an ongoing basis and report progress to leaders.
Ensure that subsidiary goals align with one another and broader system strategies in a cohesive manner.
Develop business plans outlining the financial, facilities, and operational implications of proposed business endeavors, along with timeline and resource requirements.
Provide project management assistance throughout the planning and startup phase of new business lines. Identify gaps in new business operations compared to plan and work with leadership to address.
Facilitate growth initiatives outside of new business planning ranging from improvement initiatives within existing service lines to the appropriate scaling of non-core services.
Develop dashboards tracking project progress in key support areas to report to leadership.
Assist in long-range capital planning to ensure adequate resource allocation to key new business initiatives and the alignment of resource planning with overall strategy.
Prepare high-level presentation overviews of new business initiatives to be shared at the leadership and board levels as necessary.
Support key service line planning, working with operational leaders to develop roadmaps for the services and procedures to be offered, ensuring that service depth and breadth is right sized to accommodate the organization's strategic vision.
Research and keep up-to-date on healthcare business trends, educating leadership on industry trends to be aware of and respond to.
Synthesize market data to ensure that volume and referral trends align with overall organizational strategy.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Coordinates efforts in meeting regulatory compliance, federal, state and local regulations and standards

Masters degree in business or healthcare administration required.
