Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a quality-focused Program Manager to support our Medical Staff Office! Penn State Hershey Medical Center is Central Pennsylvania’s only Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Regional Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Tertiary Care Provider. The Program Manager is responsible for the medical administration and legal aspects of the medical staff organization which includes monitoring and managing regulatory standards compliance. The Program Manager is focused on the management and operational oversight of the functions including credentialing and re-credentialing process for all Hershey Medical Center in coordination with the Penn State Health central verification office.
As a critical partner supporting the team, this individual will serve as the essential link between Hospital Leadership and the professional clinical staff to promote and enhance good communication and a positive working relationship.
As a role vital to the success of the organization, the Program Manager, Medical Staff Office collaborates with Medical Staff Executive Committee, medical staff leaders, and all levels of senior and mid-level administration and management to support the medical staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Five (5) years of medical staff office management experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: General knowledge of healthcare environment and specific knowledge of medical staff office functions and the impact credentialing and regulatory compliance have on an organization. Ability to analyze and synthesize data. Ability to utilize a variety of electronic database systems to ensure current compliance. Ability to communicate with providers, leaders and frontline team members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
