Summary

General Functions:

� Processes and enters information pertinent to the scheduling of patients for Therapy and maintains database system

� Understands and implements TheraOffice and enters patient and demographic information into the computerized scheduling system

� Ensures accuracy of information in the system including demographics, insurance information, etc.

� Triages incoming phone calls. Provides accurate information to callers .and relays messages accurately and in a timely manner.

� Provides patients with directions to locations, and registration process, etc., prior to scheduled visit

� Produces the daily schedule

� Produces and distributes periodic computer generated reports

� Communicates with Therapy team members to promote continuity of patient care throughout all phases of the Therapy experience

� Utilizes proper process for scheduling of patients, and other routine departmental activities;

� Updates account info and verifies insurance demographics for accuracy

� Understands scheduling process

� Responds to caller and patient questions; knows where and how to obtain information/answers

� Maintains rapport and communication with referring physicians, secretaries, and clinical staff along with internal Therapy staff

� Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively

� Maintains safe environment

� Participates in Performance Improvement activities

� Evaluates the Therapy schedule in conjunction with the Site Coordinator to promote efficient allocation of resources and seeks assistance when experiencing difficulty with scheduling

� Participates in the orientation of new staff and/ or the training of existing staff and students if applicable

Education

Required: High school diploma or GED

Experience

Required: minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training

Certifications

Required: CPR
