The VCU Health Clinically Integrated Network is seeking a full time CIN Sr Quality Analyst that will provided advanced clinical analytics for Virginia Children’s Care Network quality programs, and for VCU Health System (VCUHS) and independently owned physicians, in support of clinical quality measurement, improvement, and program planning. Provides guidance and assists in the decision-making for statistical and methodological analyses in support of Virginia Children’s Care Network quality improvement programs. Manages the use of informatics practices to integrate clinical health, environmental health, and population health data to improve priority community level health outcomes and serves as measure specification expert for measures relevant to network quality improvement. Guides network leaders and Quality Improvement Committee in goal setting, metric selection, benchmarking, and scorecard development. Serves as an expert in data infrastructure and provides expertise to network project teams and committees, leaders, and clinicians regarding clinical quality data use and interpretation.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting clinical quality measurement specifications, understanding, and applying risk models, and developing and building new clinical quality measures
  • Experience working with national inpatient and outpatient quality measures such as HEDIS, core measures, mortality, and readmissions
  • Quantitative skills must include knowledge of statistical analysis, problem solving/decision making techniques, statistical process control, and quality improvement processes
  • Technical skills required include computer programming, design, management, and querying of complex databases
  • Core competency in PC-based applications such as database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation graphics
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, which require coordination between multiple inter-departmental and network resources
  • Must possess a working knowledge of local, federal, and state laws and regulations and standards related to the position’s chief objective
  • Experience working in clinical settings alongside physicians and other clinicians
  • Working knowledge of operations and administration in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of commonly accepted standards of care in various clinical settings and populations

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

    • Current license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (e.g. Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Dietitian or similar) if candidate holds a professional license
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:

    • Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia is required if incumbent holds a professional license
