Your day.

As a Director Patient Access Medical Group, you need to know how to:

• Oversee Patient Access activities, including authorizations and pre-registration, check in and check out, patient demographic and insurance data collection/verification, point of service collections, cash management, registration work queues and administering required documents.
• Formulate and administer system level policies and procedures.  Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.  Support resolution of issues impacting assigned departments.
• Work with provider services leadership, clinical directors and physicians to identify barriers to patient flow and those that impact the patient experience. 
• Review monthly trending analysis of registration performance across SCL Health to include quality and productivity.
• Identify, communicate and align overall strategy for department improvement across the system.  
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 
• Act as an internal consultant on registration policies, technology, and issues with Medical Group Physician Services, hospitals, PRMO leadership and external departments.
• Manage human resource functions such as interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development. 
• Participate in the preparation of operational and capital budgets.
• Develop and promote PMO strategic vision, mission, and purpose while emphasizing   teamwork and results.
• Interpret entity PMO specific reports relating to Patient Access performance, associate   performance and denial performance and ensure appropriate action plans are executed.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Bachelor’s degree in management and/or health related field is required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive management and/or consulting experience in a healthcare environment, including a minimum of (5) years managing people or projects, is required.
• Patient Access certifications are preferred.
• Previous experience in Epic is preferred.

• Minimum of five (5) years of comprehensive Human Resources experience, as well as continuous training related to Human Resource issues, required
• Experience in leading HR functions in multiple medical clinics, required
