Job Summary: The Executive Director provides direct oversight for all Cardiovascular, Vascular, Pulmonary, Thoracic, Aortic, Interventional Radiology and Interventional Neurology services within the Cardiovascular Institute. This includes, non-invasive services, structural heart and cardio oncology programs, Medical Provider Extenders ARNP/PA (Cardiovascular) specialty coding, system education and training and functional budgeting across Central Florida Division â“ South (CFD-S) and affiliated healthcare organizations for the Cardiovascular Institute system. In addition, the Executive Director engages and collaborates with the AH division, and as appropriate, with AHS, on elevating quality and services for cardiovascular. He/she leads the strategic planning and visioning for expanding domains of care, including new or changing programs and services, driving innovation through technology and information systems, elevating clinical performance and stewardship, guiding cardiovascular clinical research that transforms care delivery and partners with industry to formulate new innovative approaches to care. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible for engaging with medical staff leaders to create and implement new physician models that fully leverage the physician enterprise to position the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute (AHCVI) as a national leader, a destination site for patients and a national referral site for physicians to grow national recognition for AdventHealth and the Cardiovascular Institute. Strategic planning and oversight includes the business models of the future, physician strategy and recruitment and overall service line performance based on evaluation of existing services and implementation of new projects with defined milestones and metrics. Measures of success result in both clinical, financial, and market outcomes that demonstrate value to patients, physicians and payors. Responsibilities include oversight of all cardiovascular programs, including all subspecialty programs. The Executive Director works in a matrix organization but serves as the System leader for the Cardiovascular Institute ensuring each hospital provides the same quality of care. The Executive Director conducts technology equipment planning to include next generation technology to map out capital planning, research, grant development and initiating philanthropic avenues. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accredited bodies.
