JOB DESCRIPTION

Works collaboratively with Market leadership to establish transformative service line growth strategies, develop operational plans and drive execution, and analyze results. The incumbent will evolve the Market service lines in a manner that best fits the strategic imperatives of the Market, which will aim to deliver outstanding patient outcomes, support growth and access.

Develops strategically oriented, consumer-focused strategy that enables the Market to achieve a sustainable financial and competitively differentiated service line model that optimizes physician engagement. Collaborates in and across the Market hospitals, TPR ambulatory clinics, Med Post urgent care centers and USPI surgical centers. With Administrative leadership, develops business cases to support CAPEX investments and ensures quality resources and asset utilization. Incumbent is a critical member of the Market leadership team, identifying market insights that are used to develop an annual service line strategy that is integrated into annual business planning.

Optimize our Channels:
The objective is to leverage priority services and optimize use of patient access points to attract and serve patients. We receive patients from multiple referral sources and multiple locations creating the need to optimize the channels and services within our system.

Build Physician Alignment:
The objective is to develop a robust, engaged physician network and to provide exceptional care by attracting preferred providers. Pregnant moms and fetuses have varied and complex diagnosis that require multiple providers in their care journey. It is critical for facilities to have robust relationships with all these providers.

Build Community Trust:
The objective is to focus on convenience and family-friendliness to become the patient�s and families trusted, preferred choice for Women�s and Children�s services. Labor and Delivery is the one time patients want to come to the hospital. They have choices; facilities, amenities and perception of care will effect that choice.

Deliver Exceptional Care:
Become the safest, most efficient, effective and quality driven healthcare system in southeastern Michigan for women & children to receive care. Quality results and clinical reputation within a community is proven to build volume and strengthen physician relationships. We need to ensure we have the right foundation and accountability across the Women�s & Children�s Service Line. This includes quality within our hospitals across the care continuum.

Approves personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc. Ensures the timely completion of performance appraisals. Develops current to intermediate goals and measures for areas of responsibility. Measures and assesses performance. As requested, assists in long-range goal development.

Develops and monitors budget for areas of responsibility. Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies. As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations.

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experience required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Management or Healthcare preferred

2. Minimum 3 years of management experience in an acute care hospital, ambulatory center, or other health care related organization with experience in physician relations, program development and strategic planning required.
