Work Hours/Shift: Mon/Tue/Thu 8-5, Wed 6-5, Fri 8-1 You Will Be Responsible For: - Serves as the supervisor for Medical Assistants and/or other staff as required. May not Supervise LPN’s or RN’s
- Participates in interviewing applicants, conducting employee discipline and attends required supervisor training per AHMG leadership requirements
- Serves as effective mentor and educational resource to staff
- Serves as a lead regarding billing or coding issues at the practice
- Responsible for PSQA/Care Gap Closure Scores
- Responsible for ensuring clinical employees’ licensure and certification and office licensure is up to date
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - High school graduate or equivalent required
- 2 years of medical office experience preferred
- Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (âœAAMAâ) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (âœAMCAâ) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)
- American Medical Technologists (âœAMTâ) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- National Association for Health Professionals (âœNAHPâ) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (âœNCCTâ) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Healthcareer Association (âœNHAâ) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Current, valid CPR certification is required
- Must be willing to float to other AdventHealth Medical Group practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary
- Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements
Job Summary: The Clinical Supervisor, under limited supervision, is responsible for providing hands-on clinical care to patients as well as training, directing, and guiding back office staff in monitoring and expediting workflow. This position helps in ensuring the back-office operations of the office function smoothly and that staff are adhering to clinical policies and procedures. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodates services for the physicians and the practice, following established standard, practices, policies, and procedures.
