Description Industry Contracts Analyst Your Role: In your pivotal role as Industry Contracts Analyst, you will review, negotiate and draft agreements, perform a continuing review of existing agreements, assure the ongoing integrity of the contract tracking database through database management and assist in the ongoing development of policies and procedures to address contractual issues. You also will apply relevant contract law, Federal, State and local laws, guidance documents, health care policy, Institutional and departmental policies and procedures to: 1) protect the rights, safety and welfare of research participants; (2) protect the academic integrity of the Institution; (3) safeguard against any unnecessary risks; and (4) protect the interests of the scientists involved in research. Department/Unit Summary The office of Contracts Management (OCM) is a division of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Office of Research. We serve as the central Medical Center office for contract intake, processing, negotiation, and management. OCM reviews both research and non-research contracts. Research agreements include bench research, clinical trials, federal contracts, and federal subcontracts.
