HR Operations Manager (Employee Onboarding and Records Mgt)
JOB SUMMARY The Human Resources Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational management for key HR operational functions. The HR Operations Manager is responsible for development and deployment of initiatives and standard processes, and analytics to optimize service levels in daily HR operations and will make appropriate operational business decisions and continuously improve operations across the organization. In collaboration with HR Leadership Team, this position will assist with the overall strategy and direction for daily HR support of the strategic plan.
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
Responsible for day to day HR transactional processes and reporting that align with VUMC policies and procedures.
On-boarding process for new hire candidates and employees, including background check process, orientation scheduling, I9 compliance and other actions that affect a positive candidate experience.
Maintain employee data across HR systems, capturing all status changes in an employee lifecycle and ensuring data entry has appropriate audit procedures to preserve data integrity.
Provide leadership to the HR department as a member of the HR Leadership Team, affecting HR vision, initiatives, programs, services, and budget expenditures.
Manage a team direct reports in operational areas. Lead and develop employees into a highly effective team by setting clear performance objectives and goals, regular and honest feedback, and individualized development plans.
Ownership of specific programs and processes both as start-ups and ongoing.
Produce and/or analyze and monitor applicable metrics to make appropriate operational business decisions, conduct process-mapping and continuously improve operations.
Understand priorities and work through complex issues to identify, develop and implement effective solutions.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Abilities :
Interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching and development skills. Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
Self-driven, motivated and can operate with minimal direction, take initiative, and be resourceful in problem-solving
Ability to manage cross-functional projects
Excellent technology skills: ability to understand, interpret data using spreadsheets and other relevant tools. This includes the ability to understand the impact of changes to data across multiple systems.
Ability to review and resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments.
