This position would provide project coordination and transplant clinical research support; statistical database management and analysis using dedicated statistical software, spreadsheet, and database packages (e.g., SPSS, R, SAS, Stata, Excel, REDCap), manages (exports, merges, formats, etc.) data from complex intra- and extratramural databases and registries (e.g., SRTR, UNet, IHME, CDC, US Census data)., develosp and executes appropriate data analysis plans, maintains databases to address planned statistical analyses, and conducts and reports data analyses to faculty and staff; patient-reported outcomes and health related quality of life project management including overall management for the Transplant Center-wide PRO/ HRQOL survey project; routinely monitors project data acquisition, and publication, collaborates on abstract and manuscript development and editing. The Mgr, Research Programs serves as program manager for clinical research studies, including but not limited to assisting in the development of recruitment goals; participating in the clinical study budget development and negotiation process; supervising a team of clinical research staff, including nurses and coordinators; communication of performance expectations; conducting performance evaluations; and monitors qualify assurance standards, programs, and procedures within the team.

Transplant Center-Specific Areas of Responsibility and % Effort
Project Coordination & Transplant Clinical Research Support (20%)
With the guidance of principal investigators and a biostatistician, provides overall management for the Transplant Center-wide PRO/HRQOL survey project.
Manages and provides guidance to staff regarding manual and automated (REDCap survey) data collection.
Routinely monitors project data acquisition.
Routinely follows-up with and provides guidance to staff involved in any aspect of this project.
Maintains and routinely updates the raw and consolidated project databases including, scanning, extracting data from REDCap and/or Access data sources, scoring item data using appropriated survey scoring algorithms, and merging survey project data with appropriate external intra- and extramural electronic data sources (g., Epic, UNet).
Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO)/ Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) Survey Project Management (20%)
Collaborative Publication, Abstract and Manuscript Development and Editing (20%)
In collaboration with a biostatistician and co-authors, drafts and edits material in abstracts and manuscripts regarding data collection, statistical methods, and appropriate reporting of statistical findings.
Prepares tables and figures from statistical databases for abstracts and manuscripts using applicable reporting specifications.
Ensures that relevant statistical and database software and funding sources are cited in manuscripts or other publications, as required.
In collaboration with a biostatistician, provides guidance regarding research design and database structure for colleagues developing a research project.
In collaboration with a biostatistician, develops and executes appropriate data analysis plans, maintains databases to address planned statistical analyses, and conducts and reports data analyses to faculty and staff.
Using dedicated statistical software, spreadsheet, and database packages (e.g., SPSS, R, SAS, Stata, Excel, REDCap), manages data (exports, merges, formats, et) from complex intra- and extratramural databases and registries (e.g., SRTR, UNet, IHME, CDC, US Census data).
Supervises and/or provides guidance to persons collecting and/or entering data for a given project or database.
Maintains Institutional Review Board (IRB) human subject protection certification and ensures that IRB requirements have been met for all data-related processes and databases.
Ensures that secure data management and storage process are in place for all phases of data collection, database management, and data analysis including de-identification (when indicated), and secure communication/data sharing using up-to-date institutional processes and requirements.
Statistical Database Management and Analysis for Transplant Research (40%)
In collaboration with the program director and transplant center researchers, prioritizes project-related efforts and assignments, tasks, and analyses in consideration of scientific meeting/abstract, peer-reviewed publication, and grant deadlines.
Maintains and updates a project-management tracking system/virtual whiteboard to identify phases of work, work flow, and project-related deadlines.
Collaborates and communicate s with faculty and staff; identifies potential data-related problems to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
Manages the components of a clinical research program(s).
