In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Director, Marketing is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies and tactics that will develop and continually enhance the business and market leadership of MHS. This position will take a lead role in developing and implementing a standard format for business development activity and facilitate the process across the health system. The Director, Marketing will lead business development processes to maximize the use of our resources. This position will be accountable for executing business strategies to increase volume, revenue and MHS's overall market share. This will be accomplished through aligning and connecting physicians and building relationships throughout the region that will be beneficial to the health system. Director, Marketing develops and directs projects in conjunction with physicians, hospitals, ambulatory sites, other entities and outside management companies/consultants that target growth through volume, revenue and core market share. In addition, this position identifies, researches, and prioritizes new opportunities consistent with strategic goals of the strategy and business development division. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Plan, organize and direct marketing activities including campaigns, events and digital marketing designed to support strategic growth.
Ensures consistency of brand across system and activities to strengthen the system’s brand equity.
Directs utilization of organizational tools for customer relationship management and marketing automation.
Responsible for ongoing analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends.
Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team.
Development and oversight of communication tools and strategies across the health system.
Recommend or carry out the duty to hire, assign or terminate employees.
Conducts annual evaluations of employees in a timely fashion.
Directly supervises employees as assigned.
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing communications, advertising or public relations
Minimum five years of experience in planning, marketing, communications, or advertising
Experience in a health-related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project/process management or account management, and supervision
Must be knowledgeable in the development of messages, advertising, media and publicity vehicles
Must have basic knowledge of layout and graphic design, writing, media planning and print production
Must be able to manage large projects, measure results, establish and meet deadlines
Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision
Interpersonal and team work skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals, to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions, and to find solutions for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
