Required: Masterâ��s Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. RNP License; BLS
Masterâ��s degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner training program or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program for physician assistants.
Licensed as a registered nurse or a physician assistant by the State of Michigan
State of Michigan specialty certification a s a nurse practitioner and national certification in advanced practice nursing from an accredited certifying body certification from the National Commission of Certification of physicians assistants (PA-C) as a surgical physician assistant
Eligible for approval of privileges to practice within the Detroit Medical Center as an Allied Health Professional through the Detroit Medical Center Medical Staff Organization.
Eligible to secure a DEA license upon hire as required by the particular position assignment at the Detroit Medical Center.
Analytical ability to monitor data, develop treatment plans and prescribe medications. Independent judgment to monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patient, family members, medical staff and nursing personnel.
Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue and perform leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills, the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support.
