Sr. Quality and Patient Safety Advisor
JOB SUMMARY: Serves as a quality improvement advisor to provide project management facilitation, education, and data analysis for improvement of systems and processes, independently within the Vanderbilt Health adult hospitals. Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of organizational strategies to improve clinical quality and care, patient safety, and financial outcomes.
Serves as a project leader to collaborate with departments, interdisciplinary teams, and external entities when necessary, to develop and implement strategies to improve care and processes.
Collaborates with department managers or other quality improvement teams in identifying, developing and monitoring outcomes.
Coordinates and facilitates patient safety event analysis of high priority events and large scopes of impact. Leads larger, multidisciplinary groups in serious event analyses as well as executive level event analyses. Leads the development and planning for process redesign.
Organizes, develops, and leads project teams.
Coordinates the incorporation of quantitative and/or qualitative evaluation measures into project requests and evaluations.
Interprets findings to promote the prioritization of improvement initiatives. Coordinates communication of quality management initiatives to appropriate forums.
Drives continuous performance improvement to support institutional quality goals.
Mentor internal staff to expand knowledge and expertise. Provides education and consultation to teams within department to advance education and improve internal processes.

Position Shift: Monday - Friday, normal daytime business hours. Expected to work approximately 3 days remotely and 2 days on-site but flexibility is required
