Business Technology Operations (25%)

Manager assists with equipment installations, deinstallation, and relocation as required to support the business needs of the company.

Data Center Operations (25%)
Oversees and directs the activities of the ASC Data Center and all remote data centers. This includes setting priorities, coordination and reporting of group activities. The Data Center Operations Manager is responsible for the daily activities of the members of the Data Center.
Provides senior technical leadership for the company in the area of Data Center Operations based services, products, and support with an emphasis on how these technologies can benefit the company. This includes being conversant with the future direction of current Data Centers, how that direction will impact the company, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the company. The Data Center Operations Manager will also serve as a source of documentation and standards to help direct the activities of Information Services as a whole.
Responsible for performing capacity reviews and planning for Data Center equipment and services, analyzing vendor proposals and maintaining current knowledge of overall vendor capabilities. Oversees and manages routine Data Center Operation tasks to insure quality process, maximum uptime, security standards, software updates, or other tasks are maintained and current.
Develop and review technical service level standards for Data Center services and equipment; monitoring and reporting activity levels on all Data Center systems and services.
Completes assigned projects and project tasks within scheduled deadlines. Prepares project plans and works with local and regional staff to insure project tasks are assigned and completed as required to support active projects.
Works with director, regional AIT staff, and hospital staff to develop department, hospital, and project budgets.
Works closely with other groups to coordinate plans and activities. This includes coordination with local, region, or enterprise management or technical staff regarding new installations, upgrades, or changes to existing environment. Consults with and advises other departments within the company in the use of Data Center resources, services, equipment, and serves as a focal point for user inquiries regarding systems use and capabilities.
Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods; maintains appropriate administrative records.
Leadership & Planning (35%)

Proven understanding of Infrastructure Monitoring tools, concepts and processes.

Proven experience with troubleshooting initial, elevated and critical level support incidents.
Data center cabling and power concepts & technologies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Three to five years of experience as a Manager, demonstrating technical/clinical leadership
One to two years of budget management experience
One to two years of vendor management experience
Experience of hospital operations.
Experience leading problem analysis and resolution
Experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools.
Experience with APC StruxureWare Data Center Expert and Data Center Operation.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
A+ certification. Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
Server+ certification. Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Industry recognized certifications in IT Systems Administration such as Server, Network & ITIL are preferred.
The Manager of Data Center Operations is responsible for the infrastructure of the Data Center, the daily operations activities supporting the Data Center, and the Business Technology Operations that monitors the enterprise systems, corrects issues and escalates critical events and ensures appropriate remediation.
The Manager of Data Center Operations ensures that the infrastructure operating environments of the Data Centers are fully operational including redundancy in power, cooling, physical security. They ensure that all appropriate systems are monitored, and issues are directed to appropriate staff for resolution. They manage the Business Technology Operations Center providing Tier 2 support and Major Event Management.
The Manager of Data Center Operations sets standards for Data Center infrastructure and environments to ensure proper operating environment and support of equipment. They are responsible for all activities inside of the Data Center including racking equipment, cabling, hardware maintenance and physical data protection. This includes appropriate disposal of equipment ensuring that all data has been erased and equipment is secured following HiTrust requirements.
