Position Summary: The Assistant Vice President leads the Total Rewards and Human Potential Operations function responsible for planning, design, implementation and administration of compensation, benefits and rewards programs for MultiCare Health System (MHS) employees, including executives and physicians. As well as oversight for the Shared Services operational functions within Human Potential including the Employee Resource Center (ERC), Employee Data Management (EDM), and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Partners and works collaboratively with multiple areas including Executive HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Employee/Labor Relation to execute programs and policies. Ensures programs support a high-performance culture and align to the organization's talent strategies. Supervises Benefits Manager, HP Operations Manager, Total Rewards Consultants and Compensation Administration team. The position requires the ability to develop effective solutions to confidential and complex issues within an increasingly financially challenging environment and to facilitate consensus among various stakeholders. Internal contacts include all levels of management. External contacts include vendors, attorneys, consultants, and outside agencies.
Minimum Requirements - Ten years experience leading compensation, benefits and/or total reward programs, including experience auditing total rewards programs and interpreting policy - Six (6) years supervisory experience - Prior experience in an integrated healthcare system preferred - Prior experience in a union environment preferred - Prior experience with executive and physician compensation programs preferred- Experience in a HR shared services model preferred
Education/Certifications - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, Business or other related field - Recognized human resources professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, CCP, etc.)
