Chilton Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to work in our Emergency Deparetment : 7PM - 7AM
Essential Job Functions:
Assist the Emergency Department team in the care delivery of patients, including pediatrics
Obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs
Assist with feeding, ADLs, ambulation and transfer of patients
Assist with minor procedures
Observe and report normal and abnormal findings to the RN
Maintain stock supplies and ready environment for care
Qualified candidates possess high school diploma or GED.
Completion of AHA Basic Life Support Course (CPR) is required.
Must be fluent in writing, reading and speaking English, must possess proficient computer skills.
Six months of prior healthcare experience in a patient care setting or equivalent is preferred. Completion of a nursing assistant training program or nursing school or EMT enrollment preferred.
Must be able to multi-task in a busy in ED setting
