Position Information: We are currently seeking Pulmonary & Critical Care physicians to join our expanding group at the WakeMed health system in Raleigh, NC. Our team currently consists of over 25 physicians and 14 APP's. Our physicians provide inpatient critical care, pulmonary consultation, and pulmonary clinic services across the WakeMed campuses in Raleigh and Cary, NC. WakeMed is a tertiary care community hospital that has 6 adult intensive care units, including cardiothoracic, cardiac, medical, surgical trauma and neuro specialties. Providers work as a part of our eICU, ranked among the top tier in the world for complying with best practices and meeting quality measures. We provide excellent tertiary care to patients across North Carolina.

Typical full-time schedule is approximately 16 in-house (8-10 hour) shifts per month, without call from home. Night-shifts are supported with APP assistance and eICU cross-coverage. Range of schedule options available, ranging from pure pulmonary medicine to nocturnist options, if interested. Great opportunity for those with an interest in clinical teaching as our physicians supervise Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine residents during rotations with us. Sleep training a plus but not required. This group prides itself on evidenced-based medicine, continuing education, and physician retention while prioritizing the work-life family balance.
