Position Summary: Responsibilities include answering and directing incoming calls in a timely accurate and professional manner. This position will also respond to code calls and be proficient in all functions of the switchboard and policies related to hospital emergency codes. The switchboard operator will maintain a daily census and update as required by entering discharges and transfers as received via the Order Entry system. Operators will manage workload and perform in a service excellence manner to best represent the facility and department. This position also performs other duties as assigned and as deemed necessary by the department director in order to achieve success of the department and facility.Position Qualifications:1.
