We are recruiting for a full-time pharmacist to provide decentralized pharmacy services for adult and pediatric patients with specialized training and experience in area of antimicrobial stewardship. Under the auspices of the clinical/operations manager, the clinical pharmacist is responsible for
Assuring the needs of patients are met through the prompt and accurate delivery of medications
Supervising the work of supportive personnel, including interns and students
Reviewing patient medication profiles for appropriateness of therapy
Performing clinical/pharmaceutical interventions on behalf of the patient
Acting as drug information resource to patients, medical and nursing staff and ancillary department personnel
Actively participating in department performance improvement initiatives, daily multi-disciplinary rounds, and clinical meetings
Designing policies and procedures for safe and cost effective therapy for patients
Establishing relationships with pharmacy, nursing and medical staff
Clinical Pharmacist may be required to assume responsibilities of a pharmacy supervisor/charge-supervisor and performs other duties as assigned. Growth opportunity is available and encouraged.
Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
Preferred: Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
Required: Basic computer skills
Preferred: Previous hospital and clinical experience in an acute setting, interpersonal and leadership skills, and good organizational skills
Required: Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida
Preferred: PGY1 Residency or Infectious Disease Pharmacy PGY2 Residency
