The Opportunity:
SolutionHealth is seeking a seeking a Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer to serve as a strategic and transformational human resources leader to join this newly formed, reputable, dynamic health system and oversee the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused, and progressive human resource services for the two health systems that comprise of SolutionHealth: Southern New Hampshire Health and Elliot Health System.
The Position:
The Chief Human Resources Officer for SolutionHealth reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer, and has a secondary reporting relationship to the Presidents/CEOs for the two member health systems: Southern New Hampshire Health and Elliot Health System. The CHRO serves in an executive leadership role for SolutionHealth providing strategic direction, vision, and guidance in the integration and execution of the Human Resource strategies, operations, and services in order to advance and align strategy and structure with talent to achieve both member health system and overall organizational goals. The CHRO is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a service-oriented HR service delivery model that is responsive and supportive of local and system-wide organization business needs, goals, and objectives, while embracing the mission of SolutionHealth. The CHRO oversees the designated functions within the HR Department including Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Employee Onboarding, HRIS, Learning and Development, and Employee Health. The CHRO has seven direct reports, including two Executive Directors for each of the local health systems, and is responsible for a budget of $12,500,000 and 66 FTEs within the HR Division.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field is required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or MA) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Administration, or Industrial Psychology is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of seven or more years' progressively responsible experience in Human Resource management with demonstrated expertise across the continuum of Human Resource functions/operations, change management, and process improvement.
- Proven experience as either a sitting CHRO or a number two human resources leader within a multi-hospital system or complex hospital within a health system is required.
- Direct experience with supporting human resource functions for a multi-specialty medical group within a hospital or health system is also strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting the effective development and harmonization of Human Resources services, including shared services, across a multi-hospital health system while balancing the local needs of the local institutions is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a business partner aligning Human Resource and business strategies with organizational capabilities.

As the shared services continue to be optimized in an effort to support the needs of the system and the member hospitals, SolutionHealth as an enterprise is continuing to move forward with a multi-year, strategic and purposeful journey towards further harmonization and integration. Related, in 2020, SolutionHealth implemented Epic, which allows patients and providers to engage seamlessly across the health system. Currently, SolutionHealth is engaged with implementing Workday which will support finance, supply chain and human resource functions. Workday is planning to go live in April 2023. In 2021, SolutionHealth established a system-level clinical affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). This relationship enables MGH experts to collaborate with the caregivers at SNHH and EHS to meet patients’ complex or highly specialized needs. This affiliation also allows SolutionHealth patients access to second opinions, specialized surgical services, clinical trials, and other services provided by one of the world’s top hospitals while staying close to home.

Manchester sits on the Merrimack River and is located in south-central New Hampshire, 18 miles south of the state capital, Concord, NH, and 18 miles north of Nashua, the second largest city in the state. It is also approximately 50 miles northwest of Boston, MA, the largest city in New England. Surrounded by rolling mountain ranges and vibrant forests, Manchester is the largest metropolitan area in New Hampshire.
Nashua is a city in southern New Hampshire and is the second largest city in New Hampshire, after Manchester. Located just north of the Massachusetts border, Nashua residents have easy access to Boston, MA.
