Summary

Responsible for administrative duties in a rehabilitation clinic with 1 to 12 Providers. Coordinates office services and related activities. Follows set programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. Must have knowledge of general health care issues, trends and quality management. Responsible for scheduling for the clinic, monitoring clinic numbers, generating and interpreting daily and weekly productivity reports. Responsible for work processes of the department as well as daily operations. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL / PRIMARY DUTIES

• Ensures completion of check in and registration of all patients
• Performs Financial Counseling for clinic accounts
• Facilitates referral process when received by a physician
• Responds to physician requests to investigate and solve problematic areas
• Monitors scheduling of patient appointments to ensure appropriate patient flow
• Coordinates scheduling efforts of staff
• Maintains monthly statistics
• Maintains par levels for office and ensures availability for patient care,
• Interacts with outside vendors regarding services, such as janitorial and maintenance
• Introduces and maintains relationships with patients and physician offices
• Participates in implementation and revisions for practice policies/procedures
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
• Maintains safe environment
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities

Education

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
Preferred: Associates Degree from an accredited school or college. Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and/or a Certified Medical Assistant

Experience

Required: 2 years of medical office experience or have completed an externship with Healthlink in lieu of 2 years of medical experience.
Preferred: 4 years medical office experience

Certifications

Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant
REQUIRED COURSES: BLS-obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
