Position: Open Rank Faculty, Dept. of Family Medicine, Western University, COMP-Northwest

Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) is launching a nationwide search for an outstanding faculty member to join the Department of Family Medicine as Assistant/Associate Professor at the COMP Northwest campus in Lebanon, OR.

The Mission of the College (COMP and COMP-Northwest): is to prepare students to become technically competent, culturally sensitive, professional, and compassionate physicians who are prepared for graduate medical education, who are lifelong learners, and who will serve society by providing comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare with the distinctive osteopathic philosophy.

The role of faculty in the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) is to train students according to the COMP Mission. This is accomplished through excellence in curriculum, translational research, service, osteopathic clinical practice, and the enhancement of osteopathic graduate medical education.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: DO or MD degree. Residency trained and Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Family Medicine
• Licensure: Unrestricted Oregon State Licensure and Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Individuals who possess prior medical student teaching experience
• Bilingual capabilities
• Formal training or coursework in medical education and/or clinical research experience.
