Position Highlights:

• Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base

• Focus on team-based care

• Excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems

• Full complement of clinical and administrative support teams to assist with patient care, including a dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider

Primary Responsibilities:

• Consulting with patients, both outpatient and in-patient, to understand their symptoms and health concerns

• Performing and/or overseeing pulmonary procedures

• Diagnosing and treating conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema

• Using and interpreting pulmonological exams and tests to aid in the diagnosis of cardiopulmonary diseases and conditions, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies

• Providing immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases

• Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results

• Referring patients to other specialists, when necessary, especially Sleep Medicine for possible sleep apnea patients

Required Qualifications:

• Unrestricted licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process

• Board Certification or board eligibility in Pulmonology/Pulmonary Disease

• Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start

For New York Only: The salary range for New York residents is $322,220 to $510,000. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
